Dermot O'Leary danced for 24 hours straight for charity and won everyone's hearts
HIS WEEKLY MINI-dance routines have charmed X Factor viewers, sure, but for the past 24 hours Dermot O’Leary has been dancing like he’s never danced before.
The broadcaster has just finished off a 24-hour long dance marathon in aid of Comic Relief, raising over £600,000 for charity.
According to The Guardian, the broadcaster agreed to do it when he was “drunk”, but he kept his word – at 7pm last night he began dancing, accompanied by a roster of celebrity guests and tribute acts.
He pulled the Bucks Fizz gals’ skirts off:

There was a lot of enthusiastic finger-wagging to Madonna:

And a very sleepy Charleston with last year’s Strictly Come Dancing winner and fellow TV presenter, Caroline Flack:
By around 6.30am, he had danced the equivalent of a marathon PLUS four extra miles. Woah.
Needless to say, everyone who wasn’t in love with him before has been completely won over – thousands of people have been tweeting the #dancingdermot hashtag, sending messages of love and support:
Whoops!

Dermot finished up his marathon on tonight’s Comic Relief show after raising over £643,000 pounds for charity. See how tired he was at the end? He can barely lift his feet, the poor mite:
